Restoration project. Set of 4 vintage "Elm" chairs. Repair. Strip old finish. Sand. Stain. Lacquer.
We create beautiful, unique and functional pieces out of salvaged wood, including but not limited to clocks, boxes, cutting boards and butcher blocks. All of our pieces are hand-crafted in our little studio in the mile-end and are made entirely out of materials rescued from the off-cut bins of woodworking shops in the area. We also minimize waste in our creations, designing each object to maximize the potential of an individual piece of salvaged wood.

So i turned two small bowls yesterday, someone gave me a few small chunks of Silver Maple Burl from a tree he cut down earlier in the year. After a few small cuts on the bandsaw i chucked them on the lathe and went at them. The first one got a little thin on the outer edge and exploded whilst i was turning the inside, i glued it back together and then turned this one. This one stands just over an inch and a half and almost four inches across. I am starting to like this turning bowls.

WE'RE IN!
Come and visit us at Puces Pop, Dec. 18-19, 2010 at the St. Enfant Jesus Church at St. Dominique and St. Joseph in Montreal!
Meeting the deadline !!
So we managed to get it together and meet the deadline for the application to one of Montreal's coolest craft fairs "Puces pop" however we are waiting to find out if we are in.
We spent many hours at the shop working into the night surrounded by mini veneer presses, glue ups all over, clamps everywhere, boxes and clocks being scraped, sanded and oiled, but we love it and the results are fantastic.
